Description:   This is one of the most historic ranches in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and was one of the first high fenced game operations in Northern Texas.  In 1875 a skirmish between the Texas Rangers and a band of Indians left a young Native American girl dead on a mountaintop.  This is the legend that has been passed down for years as to how one notable peak got the name Squaw Mountain.  Since then a small thriving community with a stagecoach stop, general store, school, and church was built and later declined through the process of time and new cities being established in the area.  The fact that the town is no longer there has not taken anything away from the beauty of an area of Northern Jack County that is truly one of the finest pieces of property we have had the privilege of representing.
