Joseph Henry Vives, Jr. was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from Alamo Heights High School in 2001, he headed to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech University. In May of 2005, he accepted a position as an independent landman for a San Antonio broker conducting research in pursuit of oil and gas leases in Zavala County, Crystal City, Texas. His experience has since expanded across more than sixty Texas counties and several states. For the last thirteen years, he has remained continuously immersed in the land sector of the oil and gas business as well as farm and ranch real estate. Having spent most of his young and adult life enjoying the country and the coast, his involvement and interest on a professional level comes as second nature. Joseph genuinely grasps the sanctity of private land ownership.
